Hello Fellow TWIG Members!

On behalf of our District Ranger and Recreation Assistant Staff (and the trails crew too):

Due to our fire season and reduced staffing levels, the Naches District will not be able to support further Celebrate Projects this year. THANK YOU to all those volunteers who joined us for the various projects and trail maintenance, and trip reports/condition surveys too – those we were able to get to!

You have made a HUGE difference.

We are still preparing to host volunteer work projects on the Copper City Trail this October (so we do not lose this grant) and also possibly on the Pyramid Trail 941 Bridge over Quartz Creek.

Please contact me at 509-653-1446 or Angie Niebuhr/Lindsey Lenox at 509-653-1452 if you would like to assist – we can give you the information and tie you in with the volunteer project leads. Please leave us a message if we do not answer the phone.

We have submitted Trail M&O grants to RCO under the RTP program and will be presenting Trail M&O grants and Dispersed/Developed Camping M&O grants to the NOVA committee on October 1st. We are bringing the Deep Creek Trailheads Project to the Title II Advisory Board tomorrow. Thank you for all you letters of support and we will keep you posted on the outcomes.

We are looking forward to a little calmer season next year and hope to see you this fall (when it rains)!!

Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.
