ARRA would like some help

Postby Grumpy » Thu Sep 26, 2013 12:01 pm

As you know ARRA is continually working on Capitol Hill to protect your access to public lands across the country. We maintain consistent contact with key legislators as well as agency officials to ensure that your voice is heard, but we need your help to make sure decision- makers fully understand why we seek to retain and expand access.

Please send us your pictures, videos and stories highlighting responsible recreation. We know that many of you spend a lot of your free time visiting public lands with your families and friends and we want to hear about it! In today’s world when many people are keeping track of activities for social media and blogs and on their phones and digital cameras these excursions are more documented than ever. ARRA would love to take advantage of all these examples to be able to paint a more complete story for policy makers who have to make decisions weighing different public land uses.

Ideally any stories or media you send would include information about where and when your recreation outing occurred. It could be very beneficial to have pictures of a Congressmember’s constituent riding on an area in his or her district for example. The type of submissions that will be the most helpful range from short accounts of a “good day on the trailâ€
