Forest Service attitude

Postby Grumpy » Sat Dec 27, 2014 1:00 pm

This is from a paper down in Oregon. Nice attitude from the FS geek...

To the Editor:

Food for thought: I was reminded today of some interaction during the Forest Plan meeting at John Day in March of this year.

After the meeting concluded, my husband and two others managed to halt the retreat of the then-Malheur National Forest supervisor. The comment my husband made in support of maintaining forest access was that at his age the retrieval of game during hunting season was difficult and using an ATV was very important to him and others of our age group.

The supervisor’s reply was “Maybe it is time you should quit hunting.â€
