Discover Pass language clarification

DISCOVER PASS REQUIREMENT LANGUAGE CLARIFIED

As many of you know, the Washington State Department of Natural Resources is misapplying the Discover Pass requirement as it relates to dual registered vehicles and saying that if you have a street license plate then you must have a Discover Pass too. The DNR is choosing to ignore the law that says that the Discover Pass is only required if a street plate is required.

To aid the DNR in properly understanding the law, Senator Bailey has taken my proposed legislation and has introduced it as Senate Bill SB5627.

It simply adds “vehicles with a valid offroad vehicle permit at locations where offroad vehicle activity is allowedâ€
