TWIG Process, Fall Trail Management Partner Meeting

Postby SPR » Thu Oct 15, 2015 5:48 am

This is from Earl Nettnin (Region 4 President and Faithful Attender of TWIG Meetings)

At the Oct 6 TWIG meeting attendees suggested the following dates for the Fall Trail Management Partner Meetings.

4 X 4 Trail Management Partner Meeting – October 20th 6:00pm (please note that the WATV TMP folks are encouraged to attend the 4X4 meeting).

Backcountry Trail Management Partner Meeting – October 27th 6:00pm (Stock and Hiker Trails)

Motorcycle Trail Management Partner Meeting – November 10th 6:00pm

All meetings will be here at the Naches Ranger Station in the conference room (enter through the back).

These groups are separated so that we can focus resources on each trail type for the greatest efficiency. We still meeting together during our TWIG meetings to share information and concerns and discuss overall issues, concerns, and answer questions.

Anyone who is interested in the Trail Partner Groups is welcome to attend and participate. The partner groups do ask that at least one member from each partner group attend the appropriate meeting.

These meetings will focus on the 2014 field season action plan (what was accomplished and what may not have been and why), review of Trail Information Sheets completed for that season, inventory of areas of concern or focus for that trail type, proposals for next season and out-year work parties, development of winter action plan, proposals for next season’s (2016) action plan, and evaluation of needs for the formation and assignment of any subgroups. All of that sure will be a lot to cover so be prepared to be at the meeting for a good three hours (if you can that is of course).

Thanks for your interest in the management of our amazing trail system here on the Naches Ranger District. You all rock! Hope to see you there.
