Peak Putters - Rimrock 8-22-09

Postby oddball » Sun Aug 23, 2009 9:03 pm

A very good trip. Oddball; Riff, Royboy and Cammando took part in the fun. We left the snow park on a sunny morning at 9:15 AM and returned at 6:15 PM. Ran to Blue Lake, then trail 638 to the second gravel road and up 642 to 615. Due to the recent fire 615(Divide Ride) was plowed wide for a fire break. We didn't encounter the burn area until Narrow Neck heading west. driving through the chared area with hot spots still smoking around us was a strange experience. Then it was trail 640 and then back to 615, Blue Lake and then heading back to the snow park.

The only trail issues were braking issues with Royboy(who needs brakes at Rimrock) also radiator problems and not enough pennies for Cammando

Keep posted on the mmebers only section for a camp out of your vehicle run on Labor Day weekend at Rimrock.

It was a fun day. It was too dusty to get the camera out much, but I got a few pics. Probably the dustiest run I can remember.
