Peak Putters - Rimrock - Sept, 2007

Postby SPR » Tue Sep 04, 2007 6:46 pm

Curtis, Roy, and I recently made a scouting trip to the Rimrock area. We ran a bunch of Trails on Saturday. Unfortunately, an ailing waterpump halted Sunday's run. Here are few pictures...I posted them in reverse order

Great pics Steve, looks like it was a fun time. I'm glad I didn't get stuck in that mud hole a few weeks ago

Ceg, that wet spot in the road was on 641. BTW, In my humble opinion, 641 is not a full-size truck trail. It is deceptively tight. About every tree next to the trail is worn with either winch marks or rubs and smeared with red, blue or yellow paint -- mostly red paint. I think it may be one of the toughest trails in the system with no easy-outs.

I heard 641 was tight. Is there a lot off camber areas on 641 like a lot of Rimrock is?

Not much off camber on 641, but the hill climbs were tough the day we were there. I would not be there without a good winch and at least one good rig locked up front and rear...
