Peak Putter (notice the singular) Father’s Day Run Report 2010

This ended up being more of a camping trip than a wheeling trip, but that’s perfectly fine with us. Any time spent in the mountains is to be considered a win… Anyhow, since no one from the club could make it, I invited a buddy of mine from Moses Lake whom I have wheeled with for nearly a decade. He was accompanied by his wife and 3yo son. We setup camp Friday afternoon, relaxed for the evening, and headed for the trails on Saturday. Unfortunately, his 3yo was not enjoying himself in the Jeep as much as we had hoped, so the first outing was cut short. We eventually went back out again later Saturday afternoon, sans kids. Sunday on the way back home we stopped by the Boulder Cave area and hiked up to the cave, giving the kids one last round of fun. Here are some pics of the trip:

The only stuck of the weekend:

Luckily, he made it out unassisted:

His buddy on the dirt bike wasn’t so lucky:

And some appetizers:

We spent a lot of time down by the stream:

Making our way up the trail. We ran 4W676 and 4W617:

Back at camp, we had more fun at the stream:

Nice stuffage!
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

I glad that you had a good time. I wish I could have been in two places at once -- I could use some down time.
