PNW4wda Trail Jamboree 2011

Postby TJDave » Sun Jul 10, 2011 7:37 pm

I thought I would share some pics from Trail Jam with everybody...for proof that I do wheel the Jeep. I have never been to one before. We arrived Wednesday morning and Jim Sprick park was already packed. Leonard from the Desert Rats saved a spot for us, so we squeezed in with them. It was alot of fun, and very organized for how many people were there. Each day, after dinner and the raffle, you signed up for the trail you wanted to run. The D Rat's were trail hosts/leaders, so I just hung with them each day.
Day one was Manastash/Bald Mt. Lining up, still clean.

Some great views, the weather was great, but a bit dusty

Stopped to play on the rocks on the way back

Day two was the Little Naches Trail. We made it up until the snow became too much for the stock rigs running with us. Came across a bridge approach that was damaged, so we stopped to fix it.

Day three was by far the best day. We ran the newly created Little Rattlesnake trail. Very, very tight and fun trail........ cont.

Day three, Little Rattlesnake trail. Due to all the washouts just before Memorial Day, the main access to the trail was closed. The detour to the trailhead took us through a long and dusty gravel road.
It was highly recommended that I remove my soft top... if I liked it. Good advise.
The girls sacked out after the long dusty road to the airdown spot.

I followed this Rubi the whole trail. He had a trick adjustable airbag suspension in place of coil springs. I could see and hear him messing with it as he went through side hills, or wanted to avoid rubbing on a tight spot.

Carnage report for this run was a little front fender bender, and a small scrape on the side. I also messed up my rear driveline.
It was a great time. Thanx for reading.
