PEAK PUTTERS

Here is the short version, I will post up pics tomorrow if I get a chance. Went up to Naches on Saturday. Got there around 9:45. My dad John (Rubikrawler) and I pulled the jeeps off the trailers and headed down the road to explore. We went down road 1901, drove up about a half mile and turned left onto a tight trail that had some pretty steep climbs, which connected us into a main road that we followed till we saw a sign Kaner Flats. We toke that trail and found a pretty good trail that had a steep begining. A group of guys were following us and we stopped at the top of the first hill climb and we mentioned that we were new to the area. They said we were more than welcome to follow them so we did. The trails were to no suprise very dusty with a lot of use. We stopped at the bottom of a hill called Aardvark and watched some guys tip on there sides. After we made it to the top of Aardvark hill we had some lunch and decided we had eaten enough dust for one day and headed back to the rigs and headed home. Good day of wheelin, we will be back after a bit of rain comes through.

Aardvark can be a kick in the a$$... good way and bad, but you made it to the top? Do you know, did you do Elephant Dung Hill? Pretty easy when dry, but steep.

Yeah, Aardvark is fun..... Sounds like it's gotten worse. Did you guys go up the bypass or the insane part?

I do not know if it was elephant dung hill but we did go up some really steep trails with some nasty roots before we got to aardvark hill. We did the roundabout trail on Aardvark hill, their was a lot of people in line to go up the hard side and wondered if I had enough clearence to go over the roots. I would like to go up there on a slow week day when their is not a lot of rigs in front and behind you. It was really busy up there. Bow hunting was going on as well, it suprised me to see how many bow hunters were hunting in the mix of all the wheeling trails.?

maybe when it is wet, but when it is dry any line is totally crawlable..

Gotta remember that noone around here runs a crawl ratio over 75 or so but me so momentum is where its at...

I love it when yotards try to crawl that hill when it is wet. . .

You are correct though about the dryness as long as two lockers are involved. You don't nee 100:1 either. . .my point is that most people tend to wait until a tire slips before applying throttle. . .that will get you nowhere fast on a root ball. It does make a cool zzzz zzzz noise though.

I have a few of my dads riig that I will get on here this weekend.

Dusty!!! Looks fun though.
