Test Dummy's Ahtanum Run

On May 19th, 2007 we met up at the Ahtanum Sno-park. Test Dummy wanted to go up and try out his new 33x12.5 TrXus and his Lock Right.

We headed up Whites Ridge and hit the Crest trail.
Image

Scuba backed down where it was level so he could climb under his rig to get it into low range. We didn't know where the snow level was and didn't want to be caught off guard on a hill climb.

Here we go up the Whites Ridge Crest Trail.

We had to pull a tree out of the trail. Scuba wanted to stop for lunch. He broke out the gas BBQ.

After lunch we headed up the trail. This is where it got fun. We hit some deep snow patches. The Tweety Jeep did well. We heard on the CB Scuba had to winch out and Tiny had to be pulled out.
Image

We could not go on up the trail because of a big tree that fell across the trail. We went on up to Make-out Point for the view. The weather was to crappy to see very far.

We head back down the Whites Ridge Crest Trail back though the deep snow patches.

Tiny had some more trouble with the snow.

Scuba pulled Tiny back for another run.

That worked and we were on our way again.

We regrouped at the Whites Ridge Loop Trail.

Next we headed on over to Sedge Ridge at ran that crest trail. Here we are at the Rocky Climb.

We started getting into the snow after the next steep climb.

Near the Cultus Hole Trail we lost where the crest trail went.
Image

We found it a few times again but the snow got to deep to tell anymore.
Image

We had no luck finding the trail so we turned around.

After dropping down the hill climb right below the snow level, Scuba's front tire came off the wheel.

Fatboy loaned Scuba a spare tire and we head out by the way of South Fork and then over Red Saddle to the Sno-park. A long the way we stopped to put someone’s camp fire out they had left. We were sad to see people were being careless.

This was a great fun run. I can't wait to get back up there this weekend.
