I had an awesome time! Thank you to everyone for letting me tag along :D Roman, I'll run shovel for you anytime 8) The weather was good, food was great, and wheelin' was awesome. I apprieciate the many words of wisdom, and the new sense of direction for my project.

I noticed on my way home I got sun/snow burned pretty bad today!

I may be a good co-pilot, but I'm a crappy photographer ... Here's the few pictures I was able to squeeze out of my 1990 vintage diggi cam.

Note: The shadowy object in the some of the pictures is not a ghost ... it was a rather large chunk of crap on the lense of my camera

On April 14th, 2007 Colemancooler and I went and met up with the Peak Putters Club at the Ahtanum Sno-park. I drove the RV up and Colemancooler drove up his Toyoda. We pulled some time around 11 PM. We BSed with Roman to around 1 AM.

Saturday morning we headed up the Mid Fork road with the Peak Putters. They had a permit to go up to Darland Mountain. The snow started getting deep right above Tree Phones. Colemancooler found he needed to let more air out of his tires.
Image

On up the road we found Roman stuck. The snow was washed away under where he was driving.
Image

Old Green was about to pull Roman's rig when he started having problem keeping his rig running. Old Green's battery was getting low so Commando14 came around to jump him if needed.
Image

Old Green got his rig running and pulled Roman out.
Image
We could hear Roman yelling at Old Green to stop as he slid down to the road.

We got up to Clover Flats and Old Green's rig was having problems. You can see the top of post of the Clover Flats sign. The snow was deep.
Image

Old Green got his rig running again and we headed on up to the top of Darland Mountain.
Image

Up on top of Darland the snow was real deep.

We stopped for lunch and then played some on the way back down the mountain. It was cool looking when Danny dropped into a hole and disappeared in front of us.

Colemancooler being pull back on the trail again.

Back at camp we had some killer tacos around a nice warm camp fire. Colemancooler had to leave that night.

Sunday my son was going to come up and escort our old RV home because we still have a few bugs to work out. He had to work so he sent Roll Over to follow me home. Lucky Roll Over had some tools because we had some fan belt problems on the way out.

I wish I could have stayed for Sunday's run but I told the wife I would come home for some family time. Next year I hope to take my rig and stay the whole weekend.

This was a great run. Thank you Peak Putters for letting me tag along.
