Hover 1/30/10 Boss's B-Day Run

Postby TJDave » Sat Jan 30, 2010 5:03 pm

Last night at our Boss man's birthday party, he asked us if we would take him Jeepin' for his birthday. We had to say yes, so the guys I work with took him out to Hover to goof off for awhile. Thought I would share a few pics with y'all. Pretty uneventful except for a broken u-joint in Leonard's YJ. He had to limp home in front wheel drive.

I really need some lockers. :D

That is only an A&W rootbeer bottle on Rick's CJ. The boss is riding shotty with him. Yes, that is dirt piled up on my wipers. :D

With all that has been going on in the last month, it was really nice to get out for a little play time. Added bonus to the new job is that over half the guys I work with have Jeeps.

Nice Jeep turn out for a Hover run. I love the shot of your Jeep flailing in the sand. Was that run today? (Saturday.)
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

Yup, was today. Nothing like a left front, right rear prelude to failure!! :D

I should be fixing that little problem by springtime....hopefully.

Not as sloppy out there as I thought it would be.
...fixing that? Front and rear?

We should make that a standing weekly run. Everybody that wants to go meet up with Jose at Roberto's on Saturday morning. (Jose will be there whether or not he is going.)

He goes by "Makodog". I'm not sure if he is on this site or not.
It is a blue Rubicon with 35's, 2.5 RC progressive spring lift. Don't remember if he has a BL or not. It's pretty cool. I like the vented hood. I think it's fiberglass. 8)

Thanks for putting up pic's

Postby klinger » Wed Feb 03, 2010 5:27 pm

I haven't had time to put up pics of my jeep but mine is the yellow one with the roof rack behind my buddy Mikes Rubicon. His is the one with the aev kit. The hood is steel and he had it painted black to keep sun glare down. He's with the dessert rats, and normally doesn't run it around, he's allways bitchin about the gas millage. ;-) Oh yeah it was pretty uneventful but the mud at the end was fun till I over heated due to clogging the radiator with it.
