Spontaneous Friday off Slab run 10/01/10

Postby TJDave » Fri Oct 01, 2010 3:36 pm

Early this morning, a few guys I work with called and said, "Wake up! We're going to the Slab." I posted a notice in the chat room, and off I went. Pretty basic dusty old slabbage, but we were the only ones out there. The only dust was ours. 8) One JK 2dr, one YJ, one flatty, and my black Mall crawler. Usual stuff, flex canyon, rollover hill, blah blah. Been kind of slow here lately, so I thought I'd post a few crummy cell phone pics. One small bit of excitement...Leonard almost rolled over at the top of rollover hill in his YJ. Almost made it over the shelf at the top, then his front end slid over to the side. He was teetering  We scrambled around to the top, wedged my TJ up to the JK and he winched himself over the top. Pics never look as steep or extreme as being there. It was fun.

Toby, these are for you. A couple pics of my buddy's flatty you asked about last Mem. Day. Newer Chevy V6, 35's and still on stock open axles I think.

Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

:D lol. That's Jim Jr. He just bought the JK last month. He's got the "disorder" bad. Every morning he is scouring Jeep catalogs, Jeep pictures, askes when are we going Jeepin', Jeep, Jeep, Jeep.

I don't think I've ever done that.
