Peak Putters - 3 Ball for Yellow Ribbon Fund 2013

Postby iaccocca » Sat May 11, 2013 3:13 pm

Thank you everybody who made it out. That was a ball and the Peak Putters raised money for a good cause. And, I got a trophy! Okay, for slowest time, but hey, free trophy. :-) I'll get a run report up tomorrow or the next day and a copy of the article about our day that I'm submitting to Off Road Adventures.

Please feel free to post up pics, vids, or just the view from your place in the tournament. I'll get an official run report up in a day or two.

Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

We had a BLAST!!!!! I really don't know what else to say!!! If I hadn't run the first two runs with my parking break on, I may have only lost by 1.5 seconds. . .

Here are few pictures from today. I have more of each rig and can email them to you if you're interested. For some reason my pictures are a bit fuzzy. Maybe I need to clean the sunblock off the lens?

That's the only time you'll see Roy reachin' for a beer! Love the pics. I can already hear the call for another 3 ball run in our near future. . .It may just be "Night 3 Ball". . .

Actually, I'm calling that as a Halloween run. 8)

David got fast single run time
I got fastest overall for the 3 runs combined
Lee got the snail award
the JKs were a HOOT to watch
The Xterra decided not to chance it
Grumpy was too scared to race :P
Steve was in the hunt

It was hot. Kids played in the sand. Will and I threw the football around quite a bit. David has a fan clearance issue. I rolled a tire off the bead trying to pull the Xterra out of the sand.

We had an absolute blast!!
