youd think after the first time it broke someone would weld some brackets on a lincoln 9 inch or even a 8.8

i for one have never broken anything in weber other than some scrapes.....havent exactly spent alot of time there though

Toolegit86 wrote:its not the first time its broke in there.. more like the 4th or more. also this time it was on 37s and before on 33s lol
webber has broken some stuff for how easy it is.

everyone takes poser shots in webber/a&b lol. i would have went but was working

Huh, pretty easy to Armchair Drive as a Web Wheeler...

Maybe next time you'll dare show up and show us the right way to do it all, as opposed to I woulda, coulda, blah, blah, blah... Just sayin'

Building a capable off roader is easy, building a street legal one that you can wheel and then drive daily is the challenge...

i would love to go lol. but need that money to buy jeep parts.. i took my JK up there and had issues.. iam not locked nor low geared sure i make it but it takes it toll on the stock daily driven drivetrain..

i started wheeling in that canyon with a cherokee. ive seen it brake some weird stuff.. and for how simple it looks it takes it toll.

That's the very reason I don't typically go up there anymore. The "bang" for the buck of that place isn't great. Lots of potential for breakage with none of the beauty or majesty of the mountains. But that's just me. I like to look at stuff and/or go fast.

I say congrats to those that came out and were able to drive home with zero damage. If you did it in a Prevost that weighs 7000lbs. . .one beer on me!!! I couldn't have done it without some dings, scrapes, dents or busted parts.

Yep, that's me, a year or two ago. We made that canyon that day unscathed; at least three Cherokees and a TJ. Three of us on Dana 35's, and none broke. It can be done.

Gotta say, that squeeze sucks on a manual trans.

Update...

We don't believe it was the axle, but more the older ARB in the 35 that made he ultimate sacrifice, as the rearend is locked now. Additionally, he has a HP D44 & 9 inch ready to assemble for it. Awaiting some gears, and looking for some discs to work on both axles. Anybody got some chime in...

@ Wrench: Were any of those Cherocars sporting 37's?

I don't know why, but it will not play on my un-smart? phone. I had to fire up the old home PC to watch it. It needed the cobwebs burnt off it anyway. :)
