Rob (Lud) organized a run for today that was a blast. I'll let him fill in the details. Here are my pictures. Lurch has got a couple of pictures of the carnage on the Bunny.

If you guys had trouble at the entrance I'll bet it was a whole lotta fun at the S turn washout towards the top....

I take it Dromero made it without blowing parts all over the place this time?

Yeah too bad it cost me a rear D44 chromoly shaft. Also guilty of having to get winched at the entrance. Kept gettng hung up on that "shovel".

One week after fixing the front diff now I'm opening up the rear diff to reaplce an axle shaft. Good thing is I found out Alloy USA's shafts are a 10 year warranty "no questions asked". They will send me a new one by the end of the week. Hope to have it fixed next week.

It was a lot of fun though. Just makes me want to try it again when I get more clearance, and another set of shafts. Webber also claimed the Bunny although I gotta say it put up a heckuva fight. I was impressed what a 400 dollar rig could do. In the end its front diff housing got completely destroyed. That's when we decided to turn around.

and I had the tow rig and trailer there, so of course I wouldn't break anything. Ended up needing the trailer anyway......Lud could tell you about that!

Not trying to be a jerk here, but...

What were you guys thinking going in there with it as dry as it is? You could have easily burned acres and acres of brush before the fire was put out.

On top of that the "weber canyon trail" IS private property. Has anyone asked for or received permission to go back in there?

Good point on the property issue. I was recently wondering the same thing. I would think that whoever own's it doesn't really mind since I've never heard of any problems with trying to stop folks from going out there.

As for the fire issue it's always a condern when wheelin off-road around here this time of year and a point that shouldn't be taken lightly.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Dustin pull your panties out, that place has been ran many many times in super dry conditions with no issues.... The biggest chance of fire are when you run through a huge pile of sage brush. Which there haven't been this year so thats a non issue...

If it is private property who owns it then? Or are you gonna play the "I'm not gonna tell you" card?

I honestly cant remember the name Ryan. I'm sure a little poking around on the county's website and I'm sure you could find out. I know you've seen that hill burn before and know how fast it goes up. It still would make me nervous as hell. Fire extinguishers are always a good idea thou. I need to stick one in the jeep before that mess under the dash goes up in flames! haha

Th landowner has gave out permission before, but not to the large group of people who are currently running it.
