I'll let others fill in the details but I found this cool video of the area. I think thisnis the top of the Saddle Mountain trails

Were you guys able to run East across the spine over toward the old H-06 Nike Missile site? When we roamed around up there almost exactly two years ago (http://www.peakputters.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7535) we were stopped by a gate and were denied permission to run across the top :(
Yep, I've wheeled one of those, too...

We started at the "dunes" (I was told how small the area is, and they weren't wrong!) but ran the road east and up from the north side to the Nike site.
After airing up the attempt was made on the west side off the highway but the 2dr JL wasn't having it even though we were in site of gravel road (family plans later that day may have influenced commitment level)
All in all it was definitely worth the hour drive up there.
