PUAM 2015

Postby TJDave » Sun Sep 20, 2015 6:33 pm

Was a great time. The Peakputters and many Desert Rats had the whole back river area to ourselves.
A good showing from the Tri City groups.
I didn't take many pictures.
I was blanked once again at the raffle. :(

Post any pictures if you have them!

Great weekend!

The weather was great, campsite was really nice, lots of great people and food!

I didnt get any pics of the cleanup run, but evidently there was a "Limited Cherokee" that found it's limit recently on Elephant Dung Hill. Parts and pieces were layed out like a yard-sale. We picked up the mirror, rear glass trim, broken slip-yoke and drive line, and several other pieces. We went up 676 to Lilly Pond, then proceeded to Funny Rocks via Lower and Upper Woodpecker (great little trails!).

On Sunday, we cleaned up camp and decided to hit one more run (Ed, Tim and I). Ed decided we were going on one of those "see if you can follow Ed" runs to an undisclosed trail. :D Had a great time!

Tim lost a little paint on this one:

Our Saturday run during PUAM included the Naches Trail. My brother Curtis, sister Denise, and I ran the east side over to the top of Greenwater.

It was Denise's first 4x4 trail in her stock TJ. It's seemed pretty uneventful, however, Denise remembers things a bit differently.

Is that the red TJ that laid it on its side at the moon rocks crack on the 4th of July?

No it is not. It's spent July 4th running the Liberty area trails.

Ok, there was one close to it that wouldn't listen to directions as he was climbing and slid in and laid it on the drivers side. I waited till the guy decided to be a decent guy then asked if he wanted pulled back over. Winched him up and he kept slamming against my winch, wouldn't just let my winch work.
So after I unhooked, I parked farther away.
