Cowiche Mill rd snow run March 4th.

Postby Lurch » Mon Mar 06, 2017 9:17 pm

We met at the Wal-Mart parking lot at 7:30 and shortly headed for snow. We parked in the first parking lot and after we got unloaded and ready to head up the hill we were confronted by a not so nice lady. She is of the tree hugging veriaty and said we couldn't park in that parking lot. We checked and found no signage stating it was only for people hiking that particular trail. We caved and moved to another parking area.
Once we finally got moving we found muddy roads for a couple miles then quickly climbed into snow. We aired down and continued up the hill. It was weird snow, which made for slow going. There were some stucks, winching and shoveling. There was one lost bead on a tire. At which point we turned and headed back down the hill. It was a great day with beautiful weather. Thank you all that participated.

Here are a few pics I took. I know other got some good pics too.

I jumped out at a stoplight on our way thru town and snapped this pic.

One good point of "bad snow", it's a great learning opportunity. You gotta wheel your A$$ off just to make it a few more feet!

The bottom half was like that. areas had a thick center/top crust. if you broke through getting on top was pretty tough to do.
