Naches Father's Day Run 2018
I will have more to report shortly. For now, this will serve as a place for the other attendees to post their comments and pictures of the run. It was definitely a great run, one for the books! Thank you all that attended

That's what it's all about!
Re: Naches Father's Day Run 2018
The girls and I arrived Thursday PM before dark and toured the camp ground and jockeyed the RV and Jeep trailer into a campsite (or two) to reserve for our group.
Friday morning, I met Greg fueling up at Whistling Jack where I was grabbing more fuel to keep the generator happy (got to camp with a ¼ tank in the RV.) We hung out at camp dragging firewood in by hand and I played with my new baby Traeger. Early that evening Trevor and family showed up and made camp. My wife finally showed up shortly before dark. She got lost going to Long Meadow, something equivalent to getting seasick at Spithead (yes, I just inserted an obscure nautical reference.) With Chris safe in camp Trevor and family and Libby and I loaded into our Jeeps and did a night run to Ravens Roost to see the stars. It was clear til the top where we were met with a patch of snow and fog/clouds and a stiff cold breeze. Libby and I were pretty much frozen to the core when we got back to camp in our pretty much topless LJ.
Friday night, Jose and clan showed up in early for Jose time (10ish.)
Saturday Morning, we were greeted by a BIG red JL (Jimmey) and a little Jeep that couldn’t do to a very sick battery (smoking.) 5 rigs headed out, JL, JK, TJ, LJ, and YJ- (a CJ and a C101 away from a full house.)
We headed off at late even for Jose AM time (10+?) for Kaner, Lily Pond, up towards granite mountain where we were met with hail and lightening. Jim’s big rig departed our company after owning Elephant Dung and Aardvark. My Jeeperchick family would like it noted we were the only ones sporting a Safari top and half doors. An accidental detour onto Rocky Saddle, much to my families delight [sarcasm], back off of Rocky Saddle, to String trail and eventually we found five Fingers and made our way to camp at about 7:00 PM. A good long day of wheeling (my families opinion not sought.) We had a down pour in camp. The fire kept going, but most of our cast and crew sought refuge in their abodes.
Sunday, Fathers’ Day, saw Greg’s departure and my wife headed home with her Subaru. The 3 remaining Jeeps headed off toward Naches trail, my not-so-little ones opted for camp. The weather on Naches wagon trail was beautiful and we wheeled at a leisurely pace with no incidents (I was far enough ahead no one saw if I had an incident, and that tree is not talking.) There was one minor water crossing greeting us with some snow to play in on the far side.
Sunday afternoon saw Trevor and Jose’s families departure. After topping off the LJ, the girls and I did an evening run on 840, until we encountered a spot after crossing two questionable bridges that might require winching; above my paygrade when wheeling solo. We back tracked back to the campground where we had Long Meadow almost completely to ourselves Sunday night and we made our departure Monday afternoon.
Thanks for calling the run Trevor. Hopefully this comes around again. Great way to spend Fathers’ Day weekend, but next time I can probably save some weight and wheel without the backseat.
Great Fathers’ Day weekend with Peakputters!

Great Fathers’ Day weekend with Peakputters!
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.
