Subject: North Fork Ahtanum Temporary Road Closure
Good Morning,
The North Fork Ahtanum Road will be partially closed in August for one week. As discussed in the Ahtanum State Forest Green Dot User Group meeting last spring, the DNR is replacing a fish barrier culvert on the North Fork Ahtanum Road just before Snow Cabins Campground.
We are anticipating that the road will be closed at the project site the week of August 3rd, and will be open during the weekends. While the project is under way, Snow Cabins Campground will still be accessible from the loop over Darland Mountain.
The road closure will be posted at the Tampico kiosk, beginning of the North Fork Ahtanum road, beginning of the Middle Fork Ahtanum road, and on the Middle Fork Ahtanum road at Treephones Campground. Please let me know if you have any questions.
