One could hope, but I doubt it. Kind of annoying for me as that's home turf! Hate to think there's culls that would use the North Spit to practice their bomb making...

I really doubt it's anything other than a whistling peet/sparkler bomb. No one who is seriously making bombs to cause damage is going to leave it lying around. They said it looked like a pipe bomb, which means it probably wasn't even that. If it we're an actual dangerous bomb the article probably would have read different.
