You never said anything about your transfer case slipping, I dont really think your tcase is slipping unless you are hearing a grinding from the chain, but I dont think its slipping. There might be some "play" that you are getting and maybe a clunk when it engauges. Is it an auto or 5 speed, I dont remember from your intro.

Not really, well depends on your funds. The fix is quite easy though.

I wouldn't get too worried about the t case as of yet. Start checking everything over. Look for ripped motor or t case mounts, play in the front cv axles and the driveline. Just because it only makes more noise in 4x doesn't automatically mean your t case is going to fall out as you drive down the road..

Nothing should have any play whatsoever.

If something does have play. . .figure out what it is.

before you do that, disconnect both drivelines and play with the outputs. If it is the transfer case. . .

Jose, do we still have an e-shift ranger case?

So im probably going to get this used one at pasco auto wrecking with 55 thousand miles. mine has 125 thousand so i think everything will be alright. from waht i herd its pretty easy to swap a t-case. thanks for your guys help :thu:

Drain it

2 drivelines (rear is a 12pt 12mm socket, front came in different formats.

5 bolts

one wire connector

one breather

If you are a little guy, it might crush you. I can put one up myself, but I have done it a few thousand times.
