Discover Pass Info. for two vechicles

Today, Governor Gregoire signed the amended Discover Pass bill that results in key program changes, including two-vehicle transferability. As the bill had an emergency clause in it, it means that this goes into effect immediately – and all Discover Passes and Vehicle Access Passes can now be transferred between two cars!

Two-vehicle transferability was the number one issue expressed by stakeholder groups as we listened to them through the first months of implementation. For your own information and to respond to public inquiries, here are key Q/A that address transferability:

Q. Can I transfer one Discover Pass between two vehicles?
A. Yes, the annual Discover Pass and Vehicle Access Pass is now transferable between two vehicles. Please use ink to legibly write in a second license number, either in the license plate box or in a blank spot on the front of the pass.

To make wise use of funds, we are using up our existing stock of passes. In the future, passes will be printed with two lines for license numbers.
The pass is still only good for one vehicle at a time.

Q. What do I do if I already own a Discover Pass with only one license number on it?
A.It can now be used with two vehicles. Please use ink to legibly write in a second license number, either in the license plate box or in a blank spot on the front of the pass. The pass is still only good for one vehicle at a time.

The new law will also give State Parks, DFW and DNR the future option of selling gift passes, developing a family pass, and working with additional vendors. The agencies are currently considering how to implement these options – no changes at this time.

As I understand all this, I don't think this covers what we want, at least what "I" want. The fact that I can use it in two vehicles is great, BUT, I can only use it in one vehicle at a time!....SO, if I tow my rig up to the snow park with my motor home and park it in the snow park to camp in I need the pass. The next morning when I go wheeling I'll need my pass in the Jeep, leaving the motor home without one. THAT'S THE PROBLEM THEY NEED TO SOLVE!

Am I missing something other than the obvious?

Ridiculous. Passes are now good for two vehicles. But I have to buy two passes to use the vehicles I would need passes for.

So Hooray!!, passes for up to four vehicles, and only able to use two.

Not happening.

I'm with you Dave. This really sucks....and there's no way I'm putting a tow bar on the front of my 36' motor home. If I go to camp shamp this year I'll drive the heep up on Saturday morning.
