Monitoring ham radio

Postby Roman » Mon Jan 18, 2021 7:30 pm

Sitting around the dinner table with Isabel listening to the nightly ham radio "net" on the Spout Springs Repeater Association. Fun use for a Baofeng radio.

146.620

Every night starting at 7pm

She enjoys trying to log call signs. Phonetic spelling helps, but its tough to catch 'em all!

Special treat... Saturday you can hear yours truly in his full on nerdom, hosting said social net. Listen in and know that, yes, we are all this cool.

Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.
If you want to hear God laugh, tell Him your plans.

Lee made a successful "grocery store run" south of town in the snow today.

I wasn't able to go out and play, but was able to monitor him on ham and track him via APRS to make sure he was still moving along.
