With this norovirus event going on, and economic uncertainty, I have scrubbed the idea of a Jeep Gladiator pickup to replace our truck and silver JK.
So, I made the 2 dr JK a little more flat tow friendly for our non-wheeling camping trips.

RVi3 supplimental braking system. Pretty neat deal that can be easily moved to another rig if I get one later. A tablet monitors the system, and allows brakes to be manually operated from inside the rv if needed. Came with emergency brake away switch, and fused 12v power source.
Then a Hopkins plug and play towed vehicle wiring harness. No more magnetic lights and routing the wire up front every trip. I also learned that a JK has a couple nifty places to run wires through the firewall without drilling new holes.

All done, and it all works just in time for 2 of my camping reservations to be cancelled!! Now I will be forced to do yard work out of sheer boredom.

My glass is half full, and I believe this thing will come to pass sooner than later. I hope everyone is staying safe at home, and working on their stuff.

Neat project Toby. BTW, I still have that early 1990s 4.3 motor that you sold White Trash if you are interested in the TBI.

Thanks Steve. Are you thinking the entire engine or just the TBI setup? I might be interested in the whole thing for a different project, but this one is going to stay carbureted. As frustrating as they can be, it's fun to have something come alive with 2 wires :thu2:

I finally got my new rugged ridge full-width bumper installed with the help of a friend. I also test-fitted the Winch.
Plan to install the winch next weekend. I also plan to move the license plate to below the fairlead. I am working with a friend who is going to mil some aluminum and create a couple of mounting plates that we can attach to the bumper.

Got the winch mounted today. Talked to a friend who has access to a CNC Mill and we are going to create some aluminum blocks that I can place under the fairlead to move the license plate under it and allow the license plate to sit vertically. I don't really like how the license plate currently sits. it would be very easy currently for it to get ripped off.
