35x13.50x15 on a 8 inch rim?

Postby Lud » Fri Jan 09, 2009 4:54 pm

Will 13.50's mount up on a 8inch rim? I found a set of nice Toyo MT's but am not sure I can mount these.

Yup they'll go right on there but then again will that much pooch clear the inner fenders etc. I think I know of a set of 10" wheels that'll fit you Jeep if you don't mind chromed steel and cheap wheels.

I run 8's with my 13.5's and don't rub except on the passenger side, at full lock, on the Antirock arm (not the control arm). My axle is slightly shifted to the driver side due to the lift and stock trac bar... The key will be the backspacing on the rim: look for 3.75" or less to make it work.
Yep, I've wheeled one of those, too...

I have Mickey Thompson Classic II's I believe the backspacing is 3 3/8, just under 3.5". I think they'll work. I was more worried about being able to get a 13.50 on a 8" rim but it can't be that much different that getting a 12.50 on a 8"which I have now.

The Toyo MT's are just about new and are 600 bucks for a set of 4, sound like a god deal? They're 35x13.50x15.

They will be fine. The 8s will actually help keep the tires on the rims at lower pressures.
