The spring rate for a Rubi is slightly higher than a TJ, which for the same given tire size only results in the Rubi sitting ~1/2" higher. The rest of the height differnce between a stock Rubi and a stock TJ is the factory tires: 30.4" vs. 29". Since buying mine, I've been reading up a bit on Rubi lore
Yep, I've wheeled one of those, too...

The biggest differance between Lee's and Curtis' Rubicons in Lee's is a LJ Hardtop, and Curtis'is a short wheel base TJ soft top.

I did notice what looks like a 3-4" lift on the TJ when he was over last weekend, he has huge clearance on 33"s

If he had stock Rubi springs for his wheelbase the pinion would be perfect, but he would need smaller tires then . . .

I happen to know a guy that might just happen to know where a factory set of soft-top SWB TJ Rubi springs are laying...

And I did everything I could to flatten those springs out. Hardtop on half the year, 200lbs of tools and what not in a 90lb lock box behind the seat, rear seat in most of the time, rear corner armor, etc. I had those springs pretty compressed. Does he have a motor mount lift on the Rubi? That might get rid of the vibe, but he'd probably want to do a body lift too. But, that would set him up for the tummy tuck.
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.
