I made a little mod that will allow you to easily upload pics onto our sites server. When you post a message you will see a 'Upload Picture' button. Click on that and it will pop up a window where you can browse your computer and select images to upload. Once it uploads it will automatically insert the image link code in your message.

Don't have to worry about picture size... the maximum allowed size set for now is 700 x 600, if a picture is larger it will automatically be resized. It will ask for a Size when you choose your pic, just leave it blank unless you want it a specific size.

I can select who gets to use this feature so that way we don't have some spammer flooding the server. We have plenty of server space for now. I've enabled it for everyone I know on the board.

If you use imageshack or something else you might still want to use that for the big groups of pictures... I figured this would be good for those who are less experienced at posting pics. Like my dad, and let's see.... seems there was someone else who was going to post some Scout project pics

Also when posting a pic, you can click on the 'Gallery' link and it will show you all of the pics you have ever uploaded and you can add any of those pics into your current message.

The pictures made it to the server so that part worked. It must not be inserting the image link code into your message.

After you click Send it should show your picture after a few seconds, then you click the 'Standard' link below it, then it should insert the image link tag in your post just like this:

I can see your pic now on your buildup page.

Is there anyway to post a video without 'Big Bad Youtube' realizing that the music I am using is copyrighted?

The pictures that folks posted show up on my computer as red Xs. Any idea why. I right mouse clicked on "show pictures" but nothing happens.

Most of the time you can post video with audio on youtube without them stripping out the songs. They stripped the audio from my video because it was an AC/DC song and AC/DC is managed by Warner Music Group, WMG sued Youtube or something and so youtube started stripping any songs they found from artists managed by WMG. But they supposedly reached a deal this month and WMG will be allowing their content back on Youtube videos. I'm reposting my vid, will see if they strip it again.

When I posted mine I got three emails from You Tube each naming a rights holder. They stripped all three songs including the Karaoke version.

Yup that one works just fine.

Well the others are just old posts and the posters probably just erased or renamed their pics.

Yep they are older posts with pics that were uploaded back when the forum address was peakputters.com/phpBB2, now it's peakputters.com/forum.

The pics still exist, but the img link is wrong.

that was a bit easier.
