It's amazing what dogs can do. Reminds me of when our yapper chihuahua Brutus escaped from Barb's sister's house in downtown Anchorage. He made it all the way across town through the middle of the night and showed up on Barb's daughters doorstep in the morning. It was about 3 miles away, and he had only been there once. We thought he was toast....but there he was, ready for his breakfast!

Yup you can pamper the crap out of the dog but its instinct will still be there.
