speaking of, I can't get the movies to work. And yes, I've down loaded the codec

Thanks Steve... I have more older videos on VHS-C tapes, someday I plan on transferring those to the computer, I just don't have a way to do it right now.

That's weird, maybe they are trying to open within a plugin in your web browser? or maybe your media player doesn't support the codec? You might try saving the movie files to your computer, then try opening them in Windows Media Player.
