I need to have my trailer weighed so I can get it inpspected and liscensed. Anyone know of a place that is open late so can get it done after work? I heard there was one at king city but I don't know where and how late.

The Waste Management Transfer Station in Kennewick is open on Saturdays (9 to 3), but not after work times during the week.

I had to get a certified paper saying what it wieghed. Went out to the cat scales at king city last night. Nice people. The trailer with camper wieghed 8200 lbs. Lighter then I thought it would be concidering the camper is about half of that.

I'm surprised that they would accept the camper as part of the trailer. One would think they'd want just the trailer wt. Have to see what the SP wants.

I have license boat trailers based on just the weight of the boat trailer (no boat). Cheaper tabs.

I'm not sure if they will let it fly but fiqure I would give it a shot. I know the dry wieght of the camper is 3500 according to the sales brochure. Guess I'll find out tommorrow. I hear the guy who does it is kinda a pain to deal with.

Went really easy, Didn't even give me crap about having the camper on it. Being as it isn't permanently mounted I can still keep em titled seperately. Now all I have to do is take the paper work to the dmv. I get a registration for 3 years then a title.

We are cheating... Going to leave the trailer licensed as an rv so there is only one set of tabs to be bought. I don't see anyone actually getting too worried about it not having the camper on it IF we get pulled over.

Mine didn't have a title. It had caught fire and was totaled. All I got was the frame.

Ahh I knew it was in a fire but I didn't know it wasn't titled. We have all the documentation on ours, even though it hasn't been tabbed since '91.
