Nationwide decided to raise their rates again on everything I own because there are more claims in Tri Cities than before. Sucks cause I don't have any tickets, claims, bad credit, or anything like that. I've gotten quotes from State Farm and Farmers so far and for the same exact coverage it looks like I'll save almost half of what I'm paying now.
Just wondering who you guys go through for insurance and any good or bad experiences with them.

Country Insurance for both. Haven't looked around lately. You do have to join the Farm Bureau to get in, though...

Farmers is looking good to me. They're quoting me 72 bucks a months for everything I own for the same coverage I had before. Still have to look into home insurance.
That's better than the 130 a month I pay to Nationwide plus another 35 a month for the house.

yes it is...the 35 is in the house payment...looking at 27 bucks a month with the new company

My Parents are with Crigler. . .happy with him for years.
I use Gary Scofield at State Farm. He's my best school chum's dad. I have 4 life insurance policies, home, and all the cars with him. Never done me wrong through several claims.
Honestly, since I've had a few claims over the years, I would recommend going with State Farm, Farmers or Allstate simply because of the claims service.

State farm is good unless you have a major claim on the house or property. Had a shop fire in '93 and they payed for the structure and some tools to the tune of $13k total, they wouldn't cover the car that was in there because dad was doing a tune up on it so it was a business related loss. 
Had another fire in about 2001 and didn't even waste the time to deal with state farm and they still made my parents sign a waiver on all out buildings on the property from coverage if they wanted to keep their home owners insurance.
As far as auto they are top notch for the most part, never had any sort of issue other than them not covering my cd's getting stolen in high school when they stole my stereo too. State farm said they would have covered them if I had a tape deck in the truck because then I would have been transporting the cd's....

State Farm has lots of good press from my research. We went with Liberty Mutual when we bought our house. The (semi) local rep is very knowledgeable. Price was better than State Farm, but I think most are. Online I ready many people saying how they wished they were still with State Farm, my old boss has been with them since he was 16 and at one time had more in claims than he every paid in.
