DAVID ALAN "CHIEF" HAUGEN
David, 40, of Richland, WA, went to be with the Lord on July 19. David was born on August 1, 1969. David grew up camping, fishing, and Jeeping with his family. Later in life David fell in love with driving, from bicycles to cars he always enjoyed being on the road. After graduating from Richland High in 1988, David later went on to work at Hanford as a D&D worker for over 16 years where he was embraced by amazing coworkers that he also called friends. In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards, video games, and watching movies, but most of all he enjoyed the company of his two dogs (Jade, Pepper).
David was preceded in death by his grandparents and biological father (David James). David is survived by his Father and Mother (Brian and Jennifer Haugen), Sisters (Crystal Haugen and Corinne Washburn), niece & nephew (Madysen and Mason Washburn), and brother-in-law (Jake Washburn).
Services to celebrate David's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday July 23, 2010, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Event Center in Richland. There will also be a public viewing prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the American Heart Association on David's behalf. Special thanks to all the extended family that spent time with David, especially Aunt Dee.
