Why is the truck's hood missing?

It was 110 degrees outside. It made it run a little cooler. Not cool enough mind you. . .but a little bit.

We eventually blew the motor after 700 miles. . .

Now we have a bigger radiator and a new motor and a new fuel system. . .and some other stuff.
