The Richland Raiders 11 year old football team begins its season with the annual Jamboree today at 12:00 noon at the Kiona Benton varsity football stadium in Benton City. Outside linebacker and offensive right tackle Will Moss was quoted as saying, "mmmfefg, fms mamdmfc." This reporter has no idea what that means because of the ever-present mouth guard, but it is imagined to be something to the effect of, "They will part like the red sea and fall at my feet."

It is anticipated, as usual, that the Raiders of Richland will dominate the grid kids league and march straight to the Superbowl leaving a wake of disenchanted "glory years dads" and "bitchy soccer moms" in the rubble of the teams they defeat.

Weigh in is at 10:30 with very short games following at 12:00 and 4:00. Don't be afraid, it doesn't hurt if you are wearing BLACK.
