Well i did it,i got sighned up for the Scott firefighter stair climb. They take the first 1500 firefighters that register and it only took 8hrs to be filled.
I have to get dedicated to this work out so i dont look like a fool, it is 1311 stairs, 69 floors, 788 vertical ft.
This is as much a personal challange as a fund raiser for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, im 36 and have awalys thought of myself in pretty good shape but this has put me to the test for sure. We have to wear full turnout gear and SCBA(on air with packs).
I have been doing some training and today is the 1st time i have hit all 1311 stairs but i need to push harder so i can do like 1600 stairs.
Any way this is nothing more than trying to keep myself motivated, the more im reminded the harder i have always seemed to try, its just a matter of getting in the right mind set.
