got to test the new(to me) boat

Postby toyman2 » Sun Aug 26, 2007 8:04 pm

well that was intresting, who the fu@$ orderd the 6ft swells.
my boat is a ski boat, not a boat for the waves but i can say itll hold it own.
was i scared psshh hell yea i was scared,at some points all i could see was water and waves above my head and then boat straight in the air.
3 times i had wave crash over the front and soak me.
when in dought throttle out.
i went in the water a rookie and came out a pro,and not by choice.
it is amazing what weather changes like in no time

Funny. Years, I was fishing Sturgeon in the late fall below McNary when my brother and I got caught in some big wind. My brother was whew hoo'en and generally having a great time as I made way down river. there was so much spray in the air that we could hardly see. Little did he know how scared I was and that most of the water in the boat was coming from me!

The number one and two rules in boating is to be prepared and never let your crew know that you're terrified... Ignorance is bliss...
I don't Text (at least not very well), I eat Blackberrys, and I only Twitter after sex...

That's cool.. you will have a lot of fun with it.

Sounds similar to my boat.. 1991, 19' Sterling, 140hp Volvo Penta.. meant for skiing but I use it for both tubing and fishing. Haven't even taken it out yet this summer.
