Bad Luck

My buddy in Portland had a tree fall on his house on Wednesday night! I'm headed there today to help clean up.

I've got to talk to my neighbor about his giant sycamore tree that is on the fence line hanging over my deck.
I'm glad nobody was hurt.

I had a tree fall at my old place. Destroyed a truck camper and did some damage to the roof over my garage. Missed my 69' SS chevelle by inches

It will be interesting to see how his homeowners insurance treats him. Don let me know about the insurance.

His insurance is treating him really well. Granted, he's working his butt off to coordinate movers, storage, the tree removal service and finding a place to live. His insurance company is covering everything. There is a couple structural engineers coming to evaluate the house next week to determine if it is a total loss or not. But, insurance will cover re building to original property value. He's with a subsidiary of Progressive.
It will be interesting to see how things go with the management of rebuilding the house.
