Here's video I took at the NWRCA Rock Crawl in Vantage in 2000. We all thought he was going over. There was some crazy steep drop offs and difficult courses, I remember several roll overs. Have more video that I need to go through and find the good parts... this was one that I'll always remember.

I talked to Big Rich about vantage a few years ago and he said he'd love to have events up there again but the landowner is a greedy tard and wanted a huge cut for parking and whatnot so they told him to stuff it.

I remember that deal. That event was soo kicked back and fun to watch. One of the sponsors provided free water and hotdogs. Many of the contestants ran their wheeling rigs -- no real buggies.

thats what i like to watch, when someone uses there wheeling rig.
all the buggys and special built rigs, its not as fun to watch.

My sister competes in some grass roots stuff like that back east. . .R-Rocks I think it is called. She does pretty well in their wheelin' YJ. It is amateurs only.

Weird, don't ever remember seeing any of that down here. Probably a good thing it isn't still going on, I need to pay off my jeep first....

Damn. Thats crazy. I wish we had more events out here.

I was there and the background scenery along was worth the price of admission but the action was so good that I didn't realize the col. river in the background till now. Great vid.
