i know we have done some hunting o ut at juniper and we are looking for somewhere to do some real long range shooting. I work with a couple Scout snipers and a amry ranger who want to take me out for some fun. I thought I would show them that area and hoped it legal to shoot at. Let me know what you think?

we dont go to ranges the last two times we went to rattlesnake we rant into a not so nice range officer with a heavy badge. we are all range certified officers and find we get along better with others shooting if their just not their.

Hmm, don't know if it's legal out there or not - but I do know that alot of offroad designated areas are not. I imagine a quick call to the sheriffs office would clear it up. By long range I assume you mean further than 300 yards? That's about the furthest distance of anywhere I know that's not an official range.

If you find a good spot let me know - I've been wanting to do some longer range stuff and havn't renewed my membership with the TCSA.

I think out in the wilderness area would be ok, we've hunted out there a lot, miles of country out there. Too many motorcycles in the offroad area, but there's nothing out in the wilderness.

Dale, How far is "long range? There are a few chuncks or DNR ground in Benton and Franklin Counties that might fit your needs.

well for these guys I believe long range is up to 800 900 yards. For me around 500 yards. Ill check out that wilderness area.
