I trapped and relocated two skunks this morning in which makes three skunks for the week. I'm on a roll baby... Soon we will be able to sleep with our windows open at night

They LOVE cat food. Just soak it in antifreeze. It'll make it easier to relocate them 6 feet under... :shock:

Poisoning critters is risky business as it may include the neighborâ€™s pets or result in something stinkâ€™en up the wood pile or back porch. I prefer the â€œ Live Trap & Swackâ€

I used to use giant Instant Kill traps that are meant for beavers. . .they don't spray.

No fun to skin them though. . . :lol:

No skunks here, but I built a sparrow trap yesterday. Trying to get rid of as many house sparrows as I can. Started shooting them in the spring and have gotten some. House sparrows are very bad for native birds. We even has a family of gold finches move in once I went after the sparrows. Usually have 2-3 goldfinches in the feed now. I've seen up to 6 at a time!

I like the looks of that Sparrow Trap. Enlarge the trap mechanism and I could see it working on starlings. I built several of these starling retreats but they only seem to work during nesting season.

BTW, I relocated skunk number 4 this Saturday. I hope that is one is the last for awhile. Something must have spooked him while he was in the trap because I could smell success 3 blocks from my house on my way home from HomeDepot. Kind of funny considering we have a bunch of In-Law company this weekend.

Interesting starling trap. I've read about people using the sparrow trap for starlings. You have to weight the elevator mechanism different since starlings are a heavier bird. There is a youtube video on how to go about making the sparrow trap. Its actually not to hard. I hate starlings and house sparrows. Nasty little birds
