I have a buddy that beats the snot out of his 2dr JK "X" model. On his last outing, he blew up the spider gears on his D30. It took a couple teeth off of the ring gear too.

I have heard that the carriers are the same, but the R&P are different, and will not work. Can anyone confirm this? We are trying to save him a few $$, if possible, so he can get his pile running again.

I have no clue, but I have some Dana 30 spiders he can have.

Dave - the carriers are the same. Just have to be mindful of the 3.73 carrier break. I went through this exact scenario about 1-1/2 years ago with the original Minivan...
