So what are your guy's winter projects? I know ever one has one, two, three, or perhaps even ten.

I'm currently helping my dad get his shop winterized. Sheeting the ceiling, walls, adding insulation in the walls and attic, and I scored my dad a free gas furnace that I plan on converting to propane and hanging in there. Its kind of a big project, but I think my dad will enjoy his shop a lot more when its done.

I've also got some drive train stuff I'd like to get rebuilt and bolted together. If I get lucky maybe it'll be ready to swap into the Jeep come spring.

I got a currently defunct 220V compressor I'd like to get working post Xmas. And if I don't think I'll need it for awhile I'd like to get a rebuild done on my 8274, but the damn thing still keeps pulling, so I imagine I'll wait until I break it.

My projects this winter......or however long it takes!

Winterize all my junk, including sprinkler blow-out..........Done
New firebricks for wood stove...Done
Rebuild natural rock wall from patio to future fire pit area...Almost done
Deal with neighbors huge tree....Done. Hired a tree service for that one.
Chop down maple tree and walnut tree, on opposite side of yard. (So my other neighbor does not have to deal with MY trees.)..Done. I did it myself and used the Jeep and winch to pull the trees to a chopping area. Fun!
I still have to take apart the back deck and rebuild it, and lay out the pallet of flagstone that has been sitting in my yard for over 2 years.

For the Heep: Just changed the oil and greased all control arms, trackbars, driveline, and anything else that had a zerk on it. Tomorrow it gets new rear disc pads, and I am swapping out the 1.5" front spring spacers for .75".

You should have said something... we could have come and help. (That is really easy to say now that you are done.)

Walnut's not a bad smoke if you still have some small chunks around. . .

Saved it all. Maple, Walnut, and Sycamore. But it is all very green.
Just kilt green. Juicy green. Don't think it will even burn green.

Hopefully by spring it will be Old Green. Corny, I know

A lot of that sounds like winter prep chores rather than projects.

Since it sounds like you're almost done with your stuff, you should swing by and have a beer some time.

-Get my "new to me" service truck ready to work
-Get the Pitster back together with the new fire breathing 80mph+ motor
-Get the rear suspension project finished on the Cheep
-Get the shop built
-Get the four wheeler running
-Get the lift competed on the Chevy

There is no way these will all be completed this winter, but at least I'll give it a good shot...

Remodel the upstairs of our house...

4.3/TH350 swap into the flatty...

Redo the rear shock mounts on the flatty...

Make new U-bolt plates for the flatty...

Rebuild my 8274 and make a mount for the aforementioned flatty...

CLEAN MY SHOP...

Plumb the above clean shop with multiple compressed air drops...

Procure a clean 98-01 Dodge 1500 QC with the unicornish 360/5-speed combo...

I did mine guy, by myself....and for those of you that know my mechanical prowess....RGR.... that's saying something. So Lee, if I can do it U can do it.

And Lee, I don't think much of your idea of waiting until it doesn't work....that will bite you in the back of your front when you least expect it....and I'm not going to pull you rubican out either.

rubican? My Super Yanker has been on my back bumper more than my front. I won't embarrass the others by making a list.
But, if I tear the damn winch apart I'll welcome your sage advise. And I'll feed you beer while your giving it to me.

build front and rear bumpers for 92 cummins
put the $300 dana 60 together (need the stub shafts from my willys)
order lift springs and studs and put them on said cummins
finish shackle flip in back
instal hummer beadlocks and radials

hoefully trade my single wheel stuff for dually and procure a 90's chevy dually 14 bolt

Part of my winter project just showed up tonight.....

I've got a few projects planned for the bronco. New cage, rock sliders, sheet metal, possibly paint.
Also like to build a new 460 for my jet boat. Nothing really wrong with the old one just want more ponies

I just scored another part of my winter project... My drive train is complete... now I just have to rebuild it all and put it together.

just got some 63's to put in the back of my Toyota as well
