PEAK PUTTERS

As some of you already know, my jeep has new owners. Since we have moved out to Badger road with some property our priorities have also changed (Hence the furry creatures in our pasture). Well we needed something to pull a horse trailer be able to pull hay into the property when needed. Yea, I did the whole gas vs diesel and for me, the gas rig was more suited for my likings and I could work on it when needed, with that being said I have now aquired a 1 ton crewcab dually. It sucks the gas especially with the goodies under the hood. This truck really is a cream puff and can haul the post office if needed. It gunna get some mods in it's near future to help that gasser motor calm down a little.
I will pick something up later on down the road for a mild trail ride similar to what jimmy has done, but fur now gotta get creatures handled. I'll attempt to load a couple pics so you guys can heckle me if needed. Jafo

As for the truck, looks sweet! I can't lie and tell you that I'm a fan of the flatbiller rims, but outside of that it looks great and should fit the bill. Keep it parked except when you need it and don't worry about trying to figure out how to make it more fuel efficient - you'll never get your money back. Find yourself a 1KXJ and DD/wheel it

I'm with Toby on this one. Keep the truck hooked to the horse trailer. Loves me some fo fitty fo.

I agree with the minivan idea.

I miss the last one we had. Chevy Venture, very peppy 3400 v6, got 25mpg on the highway fully loaded, had a 25 gallon tank, 600+ mile range.

Maybe a trip to Corral Creek area out of the Nile Valley this summer? One of the old guy's in my (ex) work group splits his time between all his critters and his Jeep. He took us up there a few times. Huge horse camp area, tons of horse trails and Jeep trails too.

Outside of the rims that is a sweet looking truck. Gassers back then really beat the diesels of the day, but I'd love a rig like that with a transplant diesel from a newer rig
