Scott Firefighter Stair climb 2012
Hello everyone, my name is Cimmaron Perkins. I am a Firefighter/EMT for Columbia County Fire District #3 here in Dayton. I will be representing the local Fire Department in a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I will be climbing 69 floors, which is 1311 stairs or 788 feet of vertical elevation in full firefighting gear including Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) on March 11th. With the support of the community last year we were the 58th top fund raiser out of over 1500. Total raised last year for the event was $930,000. This is all tax deductable and every nickel goes to help find a cure. yes it is, that is a hell of a climb.
I do it to prove i have what it takes to do my job, raising money, thats extra and for a good cause. just makes me try harder.
