Winches...

As you might remember we have had a few issues with the winch on Tara's TJ. So I bucked up and ordered 4 new solenoids off eBay. They arrived and I immediately set out to rebuild the pack. The last time we were in it we were left with only one direction of use.
Last night I figured out why. Whomever last wired it had it completely screwed up. It's a 5 wire system, but the had the red wire as a ground, the white wire as power and the brown wires that interconnect the centers were not grounded in any fashion.
After pulling my two hairs back out I got the remotes (wireless working in both directions, the only hitch was the wired controller is dead, I think it might have seen its day and left. Needless to say Tara now has a functional winch and two wireless remotes.
That only leaves one thing left to do... Let's go play tomorrow and test her winch out!!!
Somebody had mentioned Webber canyon? We'd love to tag along if anybody were headed that direction. We gotta get our dogs out running before they tear up the house...
