Weird thing though, no airbag deployment!

From Wikipedia: "Unlike crash tests into barriers, real-world crashes typically occur at angles other than directly into the front of the vehicle, and the crash forces usually are not evenly distributed across the front of the vehicle. Consequently, the relative speed between a striking and struck vehicle required to deploy the airbag in a real-world crash can be much higher than an equivalent barrier crash. Because airbag sensors measure deceleration, vehicle speed is not a good indicator of whether an airbag should have deployed."

Did your rig have side curtain airbags? If you didn't strike something head on, its understandable that the front airbags didn't deploy... but side curtains should have on roll over.

Glad you and your family were relatively unhurt. :-)

buy back time folks. who'll give me $1500 for the truck as is where is (spokane). OR $2000 delivered to your address.

130k miles 3.4 liter auto TRD off road package (rear locker), PW, PL, PS, CC, with grey cloth interior in very good condition. keyless entry with auto start. all windows intact with the exception of the windshield. tow package. and 3/4 of a tank of gas! just put a flow master cat back exhaust on about a month ago. i'm probably limited on time before storage fees start accumulating. so lets say 48 hours before I give the insurance company a final answer.

Does this actually help? with a single bolt it turns into a pivot point allow the towers to rock as they would if the bar was not there.

It's just an upper radiator support, not meant to be a cross brace. The shock hoops tip out from the chassis and the shocks are perfectly vertical behind them, not worried about them at all... It was just gross overkill and a fun couple hours in the shop.

They are so cute when they are little.
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.
