Rimrock Prospecting?

Has any one seen people prospecting in the Rimrock area as of lately. I'm headed out that way and I was curious if any one has had any luck in the area or knows some one who has and what areas. I checked Mine Cache and there are 2 mines and one placer claim in the area. The two mines are closed and both have Mercury listed as what was being mined. Of course the secondary metals reported were gold. Go figure. The placer mine is on Dog Lake and its called Up the Creek or something like that. Its been active since 1995. It doesn't look like there is a ton of activity claims wise, but that doesn't mean anything. I was wondering if the creek that runs under the bridge just past the the peninsula was worth checking at all or if any one had any insight.
